FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE: Rhein Named Vice President of Business Development

Updated: Dec 5, 2018

December 3, 2018

As we head into the final month of our fiscal year and look to finish our tenth year in business strong, TitleTown Publishing is on track to see a year-over-year increase in overall revenues of +300%. What’s more, our growth has been profitable and, most importantly, sustainable. Going into 2017, 95% of our revenue was generated by selling content to the wholesale market by way of traditional distribution channels. In an attempt to better control our own destiny, we’ve spent the last two years building up our retail operations, selling rights and licenses, brokering our services to smaller publishing houses, acquiring previously-published properties and established presses, and investing in – and fully leveraging - our people resources. Going into 2019, I’m delighted to announce that less than 10% of our operating revenue will come from distributing our content to wholesalers.

Our success this year can be attributed to many things; great content and authors, exceptional service and support from our plants and strategic partners, momentum from 2017, the near-flawless execution of our strategic initiatives, and the encouragement and excitement of our readership. But the single biggest x-factor that’s positioned us to enjoy commercial success well into the future came by way of hiring of Maria Rhein as our Director of Client Engagement.

Maria Rhein (L), seen here with Owner and Publisher Tracy C. Ertl (R), joined Team TitleTown as the Director of Client Engagement in 2018.

You may remember, Maria joined us over the summer and came to Team TitleTown with more than six years of customer service/client relations and event planning experience. She’s been working directly with our content creators and strategic partners, planning, promoting, and managing staffing for book events and author signings throughout the country. In a few short months, Maria has made a significant impact on our business and we’re committed, at the corporate level, to her personal and professional development. Maria has demonstrated that she’s organized, hardworking, dedicated, eager to learn, and a natural saleswoman. We are so appreciative of all she’s done for us in such a short period of time. The best news? She’s just getting started!

It’s with a great amount of excitement, and an even greater amount of pride, that I share with you that I’ve promoted Maria to the position of Vice President of Business Development for TitleTown Publishing and Chief Operations Officer for Peregrino Press. Often times, when folks are promoted to a new position, they take on additional responsibilities. In Maria’s case, these new titles more accurately describe the work she’s been doing over the past few months. Again, this is only the beginning!

In her new role, Maria will join TTP owner and publisher Tracy Ertl, Associate Publisher Nora Jende, Corporate Counsel Bradley Ertl, and myself on TitleTown’s Executive Leadership Team. Beginning Jan 1, Maria will oversee all business development, marketing, and sales activities, as well as manage our production, retail, and e-store operations.

On behalf of TitleTown’s owners, Tracy and Terry Ertl, thanks for your continued support! Please join us in congratulating Maria and wishing her well in this new endeavor.
